Sierra Leone

Women play a central role in the manual work of rice production in Sierra Leone. SALONE I records this labour and its place in everyday life.

Printed on individual sheets of 100% hemp paper, whose tactile fibres and natural surface give each work a distinctive, painterly character.

LIMITED EDITION

Each work is produced as a signed and numbered limited edition. Edition availability varies by format.

MODULAR FORMATS

Every work is composed using individual sheets of hemp paper measuring 58 × 79 cm. The sheets are arranged vertically or horizontally to create larger compositions.

One sheet — 79 × 58 cm
Two sheets — approximately 115 × 79 cm
Three sheets — approximately 155 × 79 cm unframed / 160 × 80 cm framed
Four sheets — approximately 155 × 115 cm unframed / 160 × 120 cm framed

Custom compositions using one, two, three or four sheets are available upon request. Final dimensions may vary slightly according to the orientation and arrangement of the work.

FRAMING

Available framed in natural oak, with each hemp sheet mounted between 2 mm standard glass at the back and 2 mm anti-reflective glass at the front.

Standard framed dimensions:

One sheet — 88 × 68 cm
Two sheets — 120 × 90 cm
Three sheets — 160 × 80 cm
Four sheets — 160 × 120 cm
